Baseball has always been something I’ve loved, and last season I was at one of the Cubs’ playoff games with my dad. Experiencing that atmosphere together made this piece feel even more personal to me. This piece represents more than just a milestone. This limited edition framed print captures Patrick Kane, one of the most iconic players in Chicago Blackhawks and NHL history.
I created this piece for his autograph signing on Patrick Kane Day (8/8). When he saw the painting, he told me it was incredible. What made the moment even more special was that he stood up to take a photo with me and the piece, something he wasn’t doing for everyone.
That interaction made this painting more than just a portrait. It became a personal moment with one of the greatest to ever play the game.
